Browsing the site

You do not need an account to read these pages. The supplied site code contains no analytics, advertising pixels, social embeds or tracking scripts. Images, styles and scripts are requested as site files rather than embedded from third-party content services.

Serving a website necessarily involves technical requests. A hosting provider may receive information such as an IP address, requested path, browser information, timestamps and error details. The static page code does not determine the hosting provider’s logging configuration or retention. This notice does not claim that infrastructure records never exist.

The local message tool

The contact tool uses the information you enter to build a plain-text message in the current page. It has no message-submission endpoint and does not transmit the draft through the supplied JavaScript. It does not save drafts to cookies, localStorage or a site database.

If you choose “Copy text,” the message is written to your device’s clipboard when the browser permits it. Other applications and clipboard-history features may retain copied content according to your device settings. If you download a text file, the file remains wherever your browser saves it until you delete it.

Browser autofill, session restoration, extensions and operating-system features may handle field values independently of the site. Avoid entering sensitive information, and take care when using a shared device.

Email you choose to send

Clicking an email link opens your configured email application. A message is sent only if you complete that action yourself. Email correspondence can include your address, name, message content and delivery metadata. It may be used to respond, investigate a reported problem or handle the request you raise.

Email providers process correspondence under their own terms and security arrangements. Do not send passwords, financial details, medical records or personal information about someone else without an appropriate reason and permission. This site does not promise a response time or guaranteed email confidentiality.

Links to museums, libraries and other resources take you to independently operated websites. Their privacy practices apply when you visit them. The supplied pages do not preload those destinations or embed their content.

Your choices and requests

You can read without entering personal information, decline to use the message tool, clear copied text and delete downloaded files. For questions about information included in correspondence, contact [email protected]. Include enough context to identify the relevant message without sending unnecessary identity documents.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal information, object to processing or complain to a relevant supervisory authority. The scope of those rights depends on the circumstances and legal obligations. Information may need to be retained where required for legal or security reasons.
